Time flies, Baby G is now 9+ months. It was just like yesterday when I took him home from the hospital, and now he is an active crawler, and soon he is going to start walking. I first introduced solid foods to him when he was slightly over 4 months old. Every baby is different but but any time between 4 and 6 months is fine to introduce solid food. As a mom, you know your baby the best; you will know it when your baby is ready.

How about refrigerate puree? How many days will it last to ensure freshness?
Yes, you can freeze the sweet potato puree in the freezer, the ice section. It will turn into ice blocks. When you are ready to feed again, just thaw and heat it up. I would freeze it for a few days to ensure freshness and taste.

Oh my goodness your baby is just precious! My daughter never seemed to like baby food other than oatmeal, she wanted to jump right into finger food (as tiny and mashed as I could get it). I’m definitely making my own baby food the next time around though, so I am excited to see ideas. Happy cooking and mothering!

Your baby is adorable! My baby girl is 7 months now. She loves eating pureed carrots. I am just now starting to make homemade baby food, since her appetite is picking up. It’s amazing how many jars of baby food I can fill just with one carrot stick! This will sure save us a little more money. I’m looking forward to seeing what recipes you have for baby! I love the recipes on your site and the pictures make me so hungry! ;-)

Any brand is fine actually but if you use it, then use it exclusively for the baby just so to minimize the germs.
