BAk KUA bring back memories when we were young! Whenever dad goes tO KL (we were still in Pahang)he will surely buy some Bak kua home for us. My sis and my 2 younger brother will wait until he gets home and have a taste of it before we goes to bed. Now living in State makes me “desperately” wanna have it again! It’s great to know that you can purchase bak kua in the US. Will certainly have to order from them sometime. Thanks for sharing this. Good bak kua shouldn’t be too sweet so you can still taste the meat and spices, and of course, perfectly grilled and tender.

When I saw your giveaway of bak kua, I got so excited! Of course, they bring back sweet memories of my childhood with my family back in Malaysia. However, I will never forget one incident which happened when I was probably 8 year-old. My brother and I love bak kua so much we would always fight over it. As a result, my mom decided to store them in a locked drawer. Thinking I was smart, I actually spied on my mom and discovered where she hid the key. Then I would steal a tiny bit from each piece and then place it below the pile so my mom wouldn’t know immediately. Of course, my mom found out it was me at the end because my oily and sticky hand would pass on to my school bag and other possessions. Hmmm…good old memories =). Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

  47. Tabitha Lundstrom says:

  50. Lee Fielder says:

I’ve eaten a lot of jerky, but never pork, and never Asian-style. Hope I get the chance to try this.
