I agree cookbooks are a great gift to receive. If you love VIetnamese cooking, I could recommend you to check out Corinne Trang’s “Authentic vietnamese cooking” If you haven’t already done so.

I bought Southeast Asian Flavors by Robert Danhi when it first came out. Great resource – excellent detail went into this book. The recipes inside include standards and some not so common to Americans. I met Robert at IACP in Denver in 2009 and snatched up a copy.
