My beloved mother passed away on 5/5/08 at 9:30 am. I was home in Penang attending her funeral.
This morning, my family and I spent Mother’s Day picking up her cremated remains…it’s the 7th day since her demise (头七).
Dearest mother–I wanted to let you know that everyone in the family loves you very very much and that we will always miss you sorely.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My own mother died in 1998 and I understand completely how nothing can prepare you for this experience. It will get easier with time, but nothing can replace a mother in your life. Best thoughts to you at this difficult time.

My Belated Condolences to you and family. I understood your situation. I lost my pillar of strength, my mom 11 months after my dad. 8 months later my eldest sister… :’-( I still missed mom & dad and sis but I know they don’t want me feel that way so, it’s now our turn to continue their legacies… :-)
