One Healthy Food: Malaysian Turmeric and Honey Wings

(Click the above image to view the complete picture set of 6 pictures)

This Malaysian Turmeric and Honey Wings is one of the 11 healthy foods that you aren’t eating yet. To check out the full article on Yahoo Shine, please click here. My idol Heidi at 101 Cookbooks and others are also featured.

The credit should really go to my friend F at Salt and Turmeric, who kindly shared her recipe with me. If you haven’t checked out her Malay cooking blog and recipes, please head over there now.

Thanks to Weetabix and Elastic Waist of Yahoo Shine for featuring me. (I looooove the huge spike in traffic!) Now, I hope that Google will soon feature my feeds on iGoogle Cooking channel. Hey Google, are you reading this? *wink*

PS: Summer is the perfect time to try out this recipe. Fire up your grill and try these wings.

We’ve never really worked with turmeric before, except in those prepared curry mixes. I don’t exactly know what it tastes like: this looks like a must-try to relieve my ignorance. The wings are beautiful!

When it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be! I just posted about turmeric today — and now here is a perfect recipe that uses it. I think these wings would be wonderful for a picnic, with plenty of napkins to wipe my yellow-stained fingers!

hehe. Rasa, I’m not sure if they can be considered as healthy but the bbq chargrilled mark certainly looks GREaT!

It’s tea time now, and I wish I could just take these wings off the screen and chomp!

I love grilled wings and adding tumeric to the marinate sounds fantastic.

I fail to see how chicken wings are healthy. They have more skin and fat on them than meat, so i dont see how you can make that claim.

Tumeric is nice seasoning for chicken. This recipe looks good and yummy.
