I have been eating this simple but fulfilling crepe sucre for days as my afternoon snack. I got it from a cozy little creperie at the corner of my hotel.
Although not quite similar, crepe sucre reminds me of Malaysian roti canai with sugar…both are equally great snacks and perfect with coffee…
Note: One crepe sucre costs €2.30 in Cannes.

Speaking of “sucre”, my friend and hubby tried to find out what “Sweeeet!” would translate into in French. My other friend told them “sucre” was the closest, so now they’ve been saying “sucreeee” instead of “sweeet!”. Silly huh?
You gotta try a crepe with Nutella. Mmm, I don’t like sweets, but that was good.
Lucky lucky girl, still canne-ing around? ‘Sing-nien-lai-lor…’
Whenever there are crepes on the menu, I order them first. I just love them. Have fun in France!
You lucky one!

Hey RM – Those crepes look divine! I’m extremely jealous. I was looking at your post on Roti specifically for the curry sauce but i think the link is broken. Have any recommendations on how to make the sauce or brands to buy? Thanks and enjoy your time in France!
The second picture takes me right back to my childhood where my aunt and mom would make me a sweet roti, roti stuffed with sugar that melts when cooked. Ouuuu la la.
Be interesting to see if you have any run ins with la chinois community en France.
