Cabbage Steaks

Easy and delicious Cabbage Steaks are perfectly seared into golden brown and loaded with flavorful parmesan cheese on top. It's a quick and healthy side recipe to make with only 4 ingredients.

– 1/2 cabbage head – ▢2 tablespoon olive oil – ▢salt (to taste) – ▢3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Step 1

Cut half cabbage head into three 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick slices. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan under medium-high heat. Add cabbage steak to the frying pan. Then, generously sprinkle salt and grated parmesan cheese on top.

Step 3

Sear each side of the cabbage steak for 3 to 4 minutes or until the cabbage leaves are tender and slightly golden brown. Dish out and serve immediately, with extra grated parmesan cheese on top if desired. (If you don't have a big pan, cook the cabbage steak one at a time).
