Ingredients

– 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined – 1 tablespoon olive oil – 2 tablespoons butter – 4 cloves garlic, minced – 1/2 small yellow onion, minced – 1/3 cup white wine – 1/4 teaspoon salt – fresh ground black pepper, to taste – 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped – 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Step 1

Rinse, drain and pat dry the shrimp with paper towels.

Step 2

Heat the skillet over medium-high heat, and add butter and olive oil.

Step 3

Saute garlic and onion in the pan until golden brown and fragrant.

Step 4

Add the white wine to the pan and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Next, add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low and bring to a simmer. Let the shrimp cook for 5 minutes and add salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Step 6

Top with lemon juice and parsley and serve immediately.
