INGREDIENTS

– 1 sheets frozen pastry dough – ▢1 egg – ▢1 pinch salt – ▢6 mini hot dogs – ▢1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F (210°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat the egg with a pinch of salt for an egg wash, and set aside.

Step 2

Thaw the frozen pastry dough at room temperature for 3 to 5 minutes to make it easy to wrap. Cut the pastry dough into 6 equal portions. Place one hot dog on each piece of pastry dough, wrap it up, and pinch the edges to seal. Cut each wrapped hot dog in half, then transfer them to the baking sheet.

Step 3

Brush each wrapped hot dog with egg wash and sprinkle poppy seeds on top. Bake for 20 minutes, until they're golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately with mustard, if desired.
