- 12 oz (340g) top sirloin steaks about 1 1/2-inch (4cm) thick steak
- coarse salt
- ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Garlic Butter
- 2 tablespoons salted butter softened
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Season both sides of the top sirloin steaks generously with salt and ground black pepper. Set aside.
Prepare the Garlic Butter by mixing the butter, garlic and parsley together. Let cool in the fridge.
Heat up a cast-iron skillet on high heat until smoking hot. Add the oil. Transfer the steak to the skillet and pan-sear each side (do not turn) for about 4 minutes. Turn over and pan-sear the other side for another 4 minutes. Transfer the steak to a serving platter.
Add a dollop of the Garlic Butter on top of the steak and serve immediately.
