Ingredients

  • 250 g peeled and deveined shrimp pat dry with paper towels
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch salt or to taste
  • chopped parsley for garnishing
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, garlic, honey, cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  • Line the air fryer basket with aluminum foil, then arrange the shrimp on top.
  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5-6 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  • Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • If you’re using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat them dry first. This helps the seasoning stick and keeps them from steaming in the air fryer for the best texture.
  • Spread the shrimp out so they cook evenly. If they’re stacked or too close together, they’ll steam instead of getting that nice caramelized finish. If you’re making a big batch, cook them in rounds for the best results.
  • Shrimp cook fast, and 5 minutes in the air fryer is all you need for tender, juicy bites. Want a little char? If you’re after that slightly crispy, caramelized edge, let them go for 6 minutes.
