Garlic Butter Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 21 oz (600 grams) wheel brie cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 pack whole-grain crackers or prepared crostini for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Unbox the brie and remove the wrapping paper from the brie. Score the top in a crosshatch pattern with a knife. Transfer the brie to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Combine minced garlic with melted butter and pour it over the top of the brie. Sprinkle salt, ground black pepper and fresh thyme leaves on top.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly melty.
  • Transfer the brie to a serving plate and serve immediately with whole-grain crackers and crostini.

Tips:
  1. Add more or less garlic while combing with the butter to your personal preference.
  2. Bake 5 minutes longer or less depending on how big the brie is. You may check the melty level with a fork poke into the center of the brie.
  3. Baked brie goes well with cracks, crostini and fruits.
