Garlic Butter Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 21 oz wheel brie cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 pack whole-grain crackers or prepared crostini for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Unbox the brie and remove any wrapping paper. Score the top of the brie in a crosshatch pattern with a knife. Transfer the brie to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Combine minced garlic with melted butter and pour it over the top of the brie. Sprinkle with salt, ground black pepper, and fresh thyme leaves. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the brie is lightly melted.
  • Transfer the brie to a serving plate and serve immediately with whole-grain crackers and crostini.

Notes

  • Add more or less garlic while combing with the butter to your personal preference.
  • Bake 5 minutes longer or less, depending on how big the brie is. You may check the melty level with a fork poke into the center of the brie.
  • Baked brie goes well with cracks, crostini and fruits.
