Ingredients

  • 300 g salmon fillet cut into 2 portions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes black pepper
  • lemon wedges for garnishing

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Season the salmon with salt and pepper, then set it aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Honey Garlic Sauce until well combined.
  • Spoon the sauce over the salmon, making sure it’s evenly coated. Alternatively, place the salmon in a ziplock bag, pour in the sauce, and gently massage to distribute it.
  • Place the salmon into the air fryer basket and spoon the leftover marinade over the top. Then, air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6 minutes.
  • After 6 minutes, remove the salmon from the air fryer. Carefully pour any dripping from the air fryer basket into a small bowl. The flavorful dripping is great to drizzle over the salmon or rice.
  • Garnish with parsley, chives, or scallions. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on top before serving.

Notes

  • If you’ve got a little extra time, marinate the salmon for 10–15 minutes before cooking. It lets the salmon soak up even more of that delicious sauce for extra flavor!
  • For the best results, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket! Giving the salmon some space lets the hot air circulate evenly, ensuring a perfectly cooked, juicy fillet every time. If you're cooking more than one, it’s better to do them in batches for the best outcome.
  • If your fillets are on the thicker side, you may need to cook them for an extra 1–2 minutes. Just be sure to check that the internal temperature hits 145°F (63°C) for perfectly cooked salmon every time!
  • Don't let that delicious dripping go to waste! Pour it right over the salmon or drizzle it on some rice for an extra burst of flavor.
