Garlic White Wine Shrimp

Garlic White Wine Shrimp is a quick and easy shrimp recipe to be served with pasta, rice, or crusty bread. The shrimp is incredibly delicious in a garlic white wine sauce finished with lemon.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 small yellow onion minced
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Rinse the shrimp, then drain and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter and olive oil.
  • Sauté the garlic and onion in the pan until they are golden brown and fragrant.
  • Add the white wine to the pan and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.
  • Next, add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let the shrimp cook for 5 minutes, then season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  • Top with lemon juice and parsley, and serve immediately.
