- 1 1/2 lbs. chicken wings, drumettes and mid sections
- 1 inch ginger peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon cooking sake or rice wine, optional
- 3 dashes ground white pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce for coloring purpose, optional
- 1/2 tablespoon corn starch plus 2 tablespoons water
- salt to taste
- white sesame seeds for garnishing
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and drain them.
Transfer the chicken wings and all the ingredients into a slow cooker, then stir to combine well.
Cook on high heat for 3 1/2 hours. Turn off the heat, dish out the contents, top with white sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
