It’s that time of year again, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and I wanted to share an amazing roasted Cornish Hen recipe with you.
While turkey is the star of the season, I have to be honest, I don’t like turkey. In fact, I don’t even eat turkey, unless I absolutely have to.
So this Thanksgiving, I am making this Spicy Honey Roasted Cornish Hen. It might not be traditional, but I celebrate the spirits of Thanksgiving. Why do I choose Cornish Hen? Cornish Hen is a breed of smaller chicken from the county of Cornwall in England. I first tried roasted Cornish Hen when my Jewish friend took me to a Jewish restaurant and I have been hooked since. Its meat is tender, juicy, and much better than Turkey and even chicken.
This holiday season, I strongly urge you to try out this recipe. You need only four (4) ingredients: honey, sambal oelek (or any bottled sambal you choose), salt and olive oil! Make a few of them. You can find frozen Cornish hens at any regular super markets. Trust me, it tastes so good that you will practically eat the whole bird yourself.
