Focaccia is a soft and fluffy flat bread made with olive oil and various toppings.
It originated in Genoa, Italy, and has since become one of the most popular breads and Italian recipes in the world.
You can eat Focaccia bread any time of the day, with coffee for breakfast, with a glass of wine during meal time, or as a snack or appetizer throughout the day.
Focaccia Recipe
This authentic Italian Focaccia recipe is one of the easiest bread recipes ever.
It’s 100% homemade, easy, no fuss and takes less than 2 hours.
The recipe calls for five (5) basic ingredients:

So easy and tastes so good! My bread making skills are not the best and I was shocked it actually came out perfect, thank you so much for this recipe.
Awesome Ginger.
Fantastic recipe…it’s my go to …. Thanks for sharing it!
Thank you!😊
Delicious!!! I just put too much salt on top. My mistake.
I will try one more time:)
Thank you .
Bee this is a fantastic focaccia recipe! Used it several times now. This is my no.1 go to recipe for focaccia. Thanks for sharing. You’re awesome!
Awesome!😊👍
This is a great, easy Focaccia bread recipe. The only issue I have is that it stuck to the pan after cooking, every time. I started with a glass dish (as you used in the video) then tried metal and ceramic…no luck. I’m a pretty experienced baker and have been making my own bread for almost 20 years. So I have to line the pan with parchment paper and it comes out perfectly.
Great tip!
Such a good recipe!! Have made this multiple times. We live in Italy and even my Italian neighbors were impressed by this. Thanks!
Yay, thanks so much. I am so glad you love my recipe!!! :)
How can you poke your finger in it? Mine was so sticky that when I poked my finger in the dough came with it. I ended up spraying a wooden spoon handle with non stick spray to poke the holes.
The bread turned out delicious but can you tell me what to do so I can poke holes in it. Maybe flour on my hands? Thank you. Delicious recipe and so easy.
I don’t know what happened, check the video in the post/recipe card.
I did exactly what the recipe said. It tasted great but no way could I poke holes in it, the dough just came on my fingers. I might try putting flour on my hands. Any ideas? My husband loved it.
Don’t know what happened. Check the video.
Put some olive oil on your finders into apply a liberal amount then press into bread. Water may help too but I suggest the olive oil.
To everyone who finds it sticking and sticky. You must oil the pan very well and put oil on top too then cover and rise. Then when you poke your fingers in it it won’t stick! Also drizzle more oil on top before you bake!
Use some oil on your hands and it won’t stick at all!
Coat your fingers in olive oil and then you’ll be able to poke holes easily! Cheers!
Thank you! This is my go to recipe for focaccia. I always make it when I make my Zuppa toscana. My boys and I love it! I let the bread rise in the bowl for an hour. Then another 30-45 min rise after spreading onto the oiled pan. I live in higher elevation and extreme humidity. It definitely makes it more light and fluffy for me this way. I also cook garlic and rosemary and make my olive oil for the recipe infused. It’s delicious!
Thank you for your recipes ,
We enjoy them and I enjoy making them too ,
Will be making the foccacia shortly and am sure it will be very welcome recipe .
