Homemade garlic Parmesan dinner rolls are the best dinner rolls ever. This recipe is so easy with cotton soft rolls topped with garlic and Parmesan cheese. So good!
A few days ago, I shared with you the skillet dinner rolls recipe, using a homemade 60 minutes bread dough recipe that my baking assistant Kendoll swears by.
Today, I am sharing with you this garlic Parmesan dinner rolls recipe that is even better. They’re sinfully good!
These dinner rolls use the same bread dough, with garlic-herb butter and Parmesan cheese. I personally love these rolls more as they are so dainty and pretty, tied into beautiful knots and baked to golden brown glory. Every bite is bursting with the garlicky and buttery flavors, with the cheesy nuance. I had so many of these when they were out of the oven, I didn’t even need butter, they were just amazing.

Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls Ingredients
- Active dry yeast
- Warm water
- Milk
- Sugar
- Salt
- Unsalted butter
- All-purpose flour
- Egg
- Garlic
- Parsley
- Shredded parmesan cheese

How To Make Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls
Step 1. Dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm water. Then heat the milk with the sugar, salt, and butter until lukewarm.
Step 2. Add the egg to the yeast mixture. Combine the yeast mixture, milk mixture, and all of the flour. Stir to combine well. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes. Using a stand mixer with a dough hook, knead the dough for 5 minutes.
Step 3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). On a floured surface, roll out the dough and divide it into 24 balls. Roll each ball into a rope and tie it into a knot. Cover and let it rise for 25 minutes.
Step 4. Meanwhile, prepare the garlic-herb butter by combining all the topping ingredients, except the Parmesan cheese. Brush the butter mixture generously over the surface and top with Parmesan cheese.
Step 5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the center of the dinner rolls is cooked through and the tops are golden brown. Brush with the remaining butter mixture and serve warm.

This recipe is hands down the best I have EVER tried for dinner rolls!!! They are absolutely orgasmic!!! …….So soft and fluffy, and the crust has just the right amount of โcrispyness.โ Hours after the meal, my husband was still raving about how good they were and so was I. I didnโt have quite enough milk as the recipe calls for, so I substituted reconstituted dry milk powder, and I didnโt make them into knots, though…..more like a bun. Iโm wondering if you or anyone else has tried making the dough into cinnamon rolls? The dough was just absolutely beautiful to work with! I have tried many of your recipes, and have had great success with them all!

I just made these and they are round! They rose too much or something. They no longer look like knots BUT they look good still. I make bread very often too. Is the 4 1/2 cups if sifted flour measured and then sifted? Or do you sift it and then measure?

Is the amount for unsalted butter 1/4 cup only? Why do you have another 1/2 stick butter listed next to it. Are they to be added or is it an either or?
