I am just happy that little G loves salmon. In fact, he would ask for salmon as his dinner whenever he has a craving for fish.
A few days ago, he asked me to serve salmon with his favorite garlic noodles, and here it is the garlic herb roasted salmon I made for him.
This recipe is literally what it says: garlic, herb (I used Italian parsley), and salmon roasted in an oven. It’s a great Fall/Winter recipe and definitely one of the easiest salmon recipes I have attempted.
So easy, completely fuss-free, and I didn’t even have to marinate. When you have pretty fresh salmon, you don’t need a lot of seasonings or ingredients. Let the natural flavors of salmon shines.
A little butter, herb, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice are all you need. Dinner is done in about 20 minutes, and hurray to more brain power for the little ones!

Made this recipe tonight and my kids (4 & 1) and hubby loved it! The hubs wasn’t feeling fish but said it looked good and tore it up! The butter, garlic, lemon and herb sauce was amazeballs…even on its own :-). This would be an amazing butter sauce for lobster and crab too!!! Absolute perfection & incredibly easy to make! Thank you so much!
Hi Tina, thanks so much for trying my garlic herb roasted salmon. You’re right about lobster and crab, I will have to make them!!

This Salmon looks so good! I want to try this recipe tonight, but I always end up with overbaked salmon. At the same time I love my fish to be well done. Is 12 minutes enough for it to cook through?
Yes it is, but it all depends on the thickness of the salmon. You just have to use your best judgement. :)
I have to say, I’ve already made this recipe a handful of times. It’s my go-to when I need a simple and delicious salmon recipe. I do cook it for 13 minutes though, just to be on the safe side:)
Thanks Iryna, I am so happy you liked my garlic herb roasted salmon recipe. :)
Trying to print the garlic roasted herb but it prints horribly over 3 pages. Tried to copy and paste into word, but it loses the format and bunches up putting steps on the same line.
You can print without the image, just click on the red bar that says print without picture.
I made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious. Thanks for the recipe. ?
Thanks Lyn for trying my garlic herb roasted salmon recipe!
Hi, thanks for this however I am a little confused with the order of prep.
Do you roast the salmon on its own without any garlic, butter and parsley?
Or do you prepare all this beforehand and marinate the salmon and place in the oven with it all over it?
Please let me know because the recipe looks so good :)
You mix the ingredients listed and then spoon it on the raw salmon before putting it in the oven and roast it all together.
Can I ask, do you bake the salmon on its own and add the parsley, garlic and butter after it is cooked, or do you prepare all of this first and marinate the parsley, garlic and butter on the salmon and roast all of this?
Just a little confused with the order or prep.
The recipe is very simple https://rasamalaysia.com/garlic-herb-roasted-salmon/2/: Combine the melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and black pepper together. Stir to combine well. Arrange the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spoon the garlic herb mixture onto the salmon, coat well on the top and sides of the salmon.
aww I just found out about this site and I have to say I love it! I’m a new mama with very limited cooking skills, wish to learn from this site as much as I can. Would like to check, can I replace parchment paper with aluminium foil? What’s the procedures like to place the baking sheet lined with aluminum foil? Thanks on advance! :))
Yes you can use aluminum foil. Thanks Rachel and welcome to my website.

I love this site. One of the best I have come across in a long time. Full of easy, useful recipes. The salmon ones are my favorite. I eat so much of it that the guy at the meat counter jokes that I must of been a kodiak bear in my former life. LOL. Tried some of the recipes and liked each of them. Keep up the good work! Thanks………Rochelle
