It’s back-to-school time again and all moms are busy with the daily routines: sending the kids to school, clean, shop and make dinner before the little ones are home.
Other Recipes You Might Like
Little G has just started kindergarten so I have been very busy. My days are packed with activities so when it comes to dinner time, the easier the better.
That’s why this creamy garlic Parmesan fettuccine is my easy pasta dinner for him.
The ingredients are everyday items that you probably have at home so you don’t even have to go out to shop! I used fettuccine, but you can use just about any pasta you like: linguine or spaghetti will be just fine, or penne. This is indeed a simple one-pot pasta recipe.
First, cook the fettuccine according to the instructions. Then use your favorite skillet to make the creamy garlic sauce. You will need heavy whipping cream, chicken broth and garlic. Transfer the cooked pasta into the sauce and top with loads of Parmesan cheese.
This garlic Parmesan fettuccine recipe takes only 20 minutes and you can pack the leftover for school the next day!

Thanks Nige for trying this creamy garlic Parmesan fettucine recipe.
which brand of heavy crean do you recommend
I use Horizon brand heavy whipping cream. :)
Can I substitute half and half for the heavy cream?
Yes.
Loved the flavor but the sauce never thickened up, in spite of following the recipe to the letter. I finally added a small mixture of heavy cream mixed with corn starch. It’s definately a keeper with a slight modification. ?
Easy-peasey, all the ingredients were on-hand, and my husband liked it. (In fact, the two of us finished the dish. No lunch leftovers for us!) Love the lemon. I could eat this every night!
Will the sauce thicken up. It just seems a little thin
Yeah, you can cook it a little bit to reduce it. I like mine lighter and not too creamy!

What brand of fettuccine do you use or recommend?
Thanks for the posting! This is so helpful as I am 1 of those parent who needs quick but GOOD recipe for the kids.
So easy to make yet so yummy. I ran out of parmesan and was a bit worried about the taste but it still was very good without. Added some chillie flakes instead to make up for it. Cut up some pan-fried bacon and boneless chicken cos gotta feed 6 tonight.
This is a stress-free recipe. Thank you!
Awesome!
