How To Make Cabbage Steaks

For the most flavorful and tender cabbage steaks, please follow these two steps below.

First, cut the cabbage into a 1-inch “steak”.

Next, heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Cook the cabbage in the pan for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, and season it with salt and grated parmesan cheese. Once the cabbage becomes tender and golden brown, dish it out onto a plate and serve with extra grated parmesan cheese if desired.

Cooking Tips

For the best result, please follow my tips below.

  • Choose fresh cabbage to have a tender yet crispy texture once cooked.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan. If you have a small pan, cook the cabbage steak one at a time.
  • Add a hot kick to the dish with paprika or red pepper flakes to enhance the flavor.
