- Spinach cooks in a matter of seconds so you don’t want to overcook them. Heat up a skillet with some salted butter, add the garlic, toss in the spinach and saute quickly.
- As soon as the leaves start to wilt, remove the skillet from heat and transfer the spinach to a serving platter.
- It’s OK if there are still some raw spinach as they will continue to cook and wilt after removing from the heat. Timing is the key: it has to be quick.

Garlic Butter Sauteed Spinach
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic , minced
- 8 oz (230g) baby spinach
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat a skillet and add the butter. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the spinach, followed by the salt and lemon juice. Stir to combine well.

It was real good! Cooking vegetables in general just destroys the nutritional value, as someone on a weight lifting diet I have to say, this meal packs a great pre-workout punch. Try adding some ground pepper!!

Uh ~ you just made spinach look delicious. Shhhhhh. Don’t tell me wife! I mean if I start eating spinach and brussel sprouts, she’s gonna flip. And bok choy. She loves bok choy but it scares me. Going green here though!!!!! Looks so yummy.
LOL, spinach is great and very easy to cook. The key is not to “kill” your vegetables, just a quick saute or stir-fry is all you need to do.
