Instant Pot Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. (750g) bone-in pork chops, at least 1-inch (2.5cm) thick
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2/3 cup chicken broth
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt , or to taste
- 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnishing
- 1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley leaves
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and ground black pepper.
- Turn on the Sauté mode on your Instant Pot. Once the pot is fully heated (to prevent the pork chops from sticking), add the olive oil.
- Pan-sear the pork chops until both sides are slightly browned. (You can use a regular skillet or a non-stick skillet for this.)
- Add the garlic and chicken broth to the Instant Pot. Sprinkle cayenne pepper over the pork chops. Cover the pot, select Manual, and set it to High Pressure for 8 minutes.
- When it beeps, perform a Quick Release. Once the valve drops, carefully remove the cover and add the heavy whipping cream, salt, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Stir to mix well, then switch to sauté mode to reduce the sauce to a thicker consistency, about 2-3 minutes.
- Top with parsley and shredded Parmesan cheese, then serve immediately.

I tried your creamy garlic chicken & really love it. I bought a Boston butt roast (it also says โpork shoulderโ) and was looking for a similar creamy sauce for this roast. How do I / can I use this different part of meat and same method to make this recipe? Thank you!
Yes just replace pork chops with other meats.
Hi, can I use grated Parmesan cheese (Kraft brad) instead of shredded cheese?
Yes.
Delicious recipe! We normally donโt like pork chops. My husband bought some because they were on sale so I thought I would give these a try. My three and two year old love this recipe! Itโs easy, delicious, and the sauce is really good over mashed potatoes! Will definitely be making these again!
Could u increase liquid and cook rice with chops?
Please don’t change the recipe and method.
Made this for lunch for my man and I before I had to go to work at 3 and we both loved it! Didnโt have fresh garlic so I used chopped garlic. Made egg noodles for a side dish and the sauce went great with it!! Definitely a make again dish.
Can I double up the recipe and use the same time? Or do I need to increase the time?
You can use the same time.
Do I remove the chops to thicken the sauce

Hello
Can I use boneless pork chops for this recipe?
Sure you can!
Hi there- if I am doubling the meat (2.67 pounds boneless pork chops). Should I double the ingredients for the sauce and do I need to alter the time? Thank you!
Yes you can double the sauce ingredients. It might be too saucy so perhaps you can also increase the ratio by 1 1/2 times.
Can I do a natural release for the pressure?
Yes.
