Chili Shrimp
I love shrimp, especially when I cook shrimp with chili.
This chili shrimp recipe is made of shrimp, Thai sweet chili sauce and lime.
To spice up the heat level, I added some Roaster brand chili garlic sauce.
The shrimp is spicy, sticky, sweet and savory, with the citrusy tang of lime juice.
This recipe takes only 15 minutes to make for dinner and probably the best shrimp recipe you can make in a jiffy.
It really is finger-lickin’ good!
Recipe Ingredients
This recipe calls for the following main ingredients:
- Shelled and deveined shrimp, tail-on
- Garlic
- Sweet chili sauce
- Rooster brand chili garlic sauce
- Lime
I love the flavor of chili and lime, they make this shrimp dinner so appetizing and delicious.

Can this be made with precooked shrimp?
Yes you can but not as great.
What are you supposed to serve along with this recipe? 7 shrimp won’t really fill a guest that you invited over for dinner.
I made this wonderful recipe last night. I added the shrimp to my salad ? with sliced cherry tomatoes and salad seasoning for a little crunch.. Topped it off with a little French dressing. The flavors blended in so well… It was delicious. Thank you for this recipe.
Made this tonight and it was delicious. Great flavor and the right amount of heat. This is a definite do over for a quick delicious meal in a pinch. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Daryl for trying this sweet chili garlic shrimp. :)
Would this recipe work well in a crockpot after cooking for a buffet
Crockpot is not a good idea for shrimp. It will overcook the shrimp.
I tried this to night for a family of 5 I doubled the sauce which wasn’t enough so next time I will quadruple it
And they all loved it
I put fresh spring onions and coriander to garnish and served it with rice
Will definitely do this again
Maybe add chicken with it
Thanks for trying my recipe Karen.
This dish is AMAZING. I made for our international night and we love it.
Made this tonight and it was super yum and just as easy. I added some broccoli and snow peas to it as well.

This was delicious! Just made it tonight. The only thing I changed was to double the sauce which we poured over the shrimp and the coconut rice I served with it , I’m going to make it with chicken next week. Thanks for a delicious and easy recipe!
Double the sauce sounds so good with the coconut rice!!
