My little boy has started to eat salmon and I have been going hog wild with salmon recipes lately. We all know that salmon is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, which is essential for cognitive development in young children.

Now that little G started pre-school, I wanted to make sure that he gets enough nutrients for his brain development. While many parents rely on omega-3 supplement pills for their children, I believe that everything that comes naturally is the best.

Anyway, previously, I have made miso-glazed salmon, honey Sriracha salmon, and ginger garlic baked salmon but he just refused to eat the fish. He said it was yucky.

However, little G is partial to teriyaki sauce and he loves chicken teriyaki, and so I made this salmon with an appetizing orange teriyaki glaze. Bingo, he is hooked.

A few years ago, I developed my teriyaki salmon recipe for my client that calls for special sauces. This recipe is very accessible, using only a few simple ingredients that you can get easily from supermarkets.

The orange teriyaki sauce is my new favorite because it has a faint citrusy and tangy taste from the orange juice, which helps to remove the potential fishy smell from salmon.

Not only the kid enjoy the meal, we also loved the dish. The sweetest thing about this recipe is that there will be some leftover of the orange teriyaki sauce which you can store in the fridge.

For the next meal, you can just pan-fried or seared some chicken thighs or chicken breasts, and you have another new dish to serve the family.

Thank you for this Orange Teriyaki sauce recipe, used it over cooked prawns with salad and was delicious. Added some zest to the sauce, that’s all. Will definitely be using this again. It was perfect.
