Start by grabbing a bowl and tossing in the chicken, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Give it a good stir — you want every piece of chicken to be nicely coated and full of flavor.

Pace the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer — don’t overcrowd it. Then, just spoon whatever marinade is left right over the top. If you’re not a fan of burnt garlic bits, go ahead and leave the minced garlic out. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for about 8 minutes, and that’s it!

I don’t recommend using frozen chicken straight from the freezer for this recipe. The chicken won’t really soak up the seasoning, and you’ll miss out on all that flavor. I like to thaw mine in the fridge overnight — that way, the marinade sticks and the chicken cooks evenly.

Can I make this recipe spicier?

Yes. Just add more cayenne if you want extra heat. You can also serve them with something spicy on the side — sriracha mayo, hot sauce, or whatever you love for that extra kick.
